Cloud Strife
HISTORY: The hero from Final Fantasy VII, Cloud started off as an outcast during his childhood. The other kids made fun of him, and basically banned him from their activities. To prove to the others that he was as strong and brave as they were, he followed them to the Nibelheim mountains one day. Unfortunately their little adventure ended up as a catastrophe when a rickety bridge broke causing Tifa and Cloud to fall into a pit. The other children ran away, and although Cloud was unhurt, Tifa fell into a coma. When her father found them he immediately blamed Cloud for the incident leaving him no time for explanation.
At that point the young boy decided to join SOLDIER not only to make some thing out of him self but to impress Tifa as well. Much to his disappointment, he was rejected from the program and instead he became a regular Shinra guard.
Cloud returned to his hometown 3 years later during an expedition, but kept his identity hidden from every one except his mother. The entire excursion turned out disastrous when Sephiroth became mad, and it was Cloud who threw him off of the balcony in the JENOVA chamber. Cloud was stabbed, and quickly fell unconscious. Hojo collected his body, along with Zack’s and placed in suspension.
2 years later him and Zack broke free and headed for Midgar. At that time Shinra was in power and a troop of guards caught the two trying to sneak into the city. They fired at them, and Zack died of a mortal wound. Cloud then began to piece his past together falsely, taking on Zack’s role. This false characterization of himself caused him a great deal of confusion during the Meteor crisis, but he successfully sorted things out and discovered the truth.
Since Sephiroth’s defeat, he has made many alliances with other individuals. And although one threat on the planet has been passed, many others are still yet to be discovered.
